Free Flash Fiction Writing Workshop

Book By Authors is announcing free writing workshops to the public including this Flash Fiction Workshop at {open} bookstore.
The workshops are in collaboration with "Book By Authors: The North Long Beach Anthology." This book is a compilation of 50 written works and 50 illustrations about North Long Beach. The collection will be published in May 2009 as a Connected Corridor Project. Book sales will benefit the Fairfield YMCA.
The writing workshops will help educate writers about North Long Beach and aid in creating works for the collection.
This Flash Fiction workshop will have Jazmine Green, Long Beach creative writer and Greggory Moore, Long Beach writer and freelance journalist present as guest lecturers.
Jazmine Green is a local Long Beach writer and Creative Writing MFA student at Chapman University. She participated in Teach for America and taught for 5 years in underdeveloped areas of LA County. Her work has been published in Lines of Velocity and Listen to Me.
Greggory Moore is a local Long Beach writer and freelance journalist. His work has been featured in The District Weekly, LA Times, Poetic Diversity and Long Beach Culture.

Tuesday, February 3rd Book By Authors will host a Getting Published Workshop from 6 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at the Los Altos Library, 5614 Britton Dr. (Corner of Britton and Daggett).
Saturday, February 7th Book By Authors will host a Poetry Workshop from 2 P.M. - 3:30 P.M at Chiltepe Restaurant, 5631 Atlantic Ave.
