FAMILY AFFAIR #5, THE STANDARD HOTEL, DOWNTOWN LA
We're happy to announce that on May 3rd and May 4th, 2008 Family Affair will be returning to the rooftop of the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles for our One-Year anniversary party. The Standard rooftop is where it all began and we're extremely happy to invite each and every one of you back for another unique experience to help raise some awareness, emotions and support for our planet earth.
Saturday May 3rd
Partnering with Cool Green (coolgreenfashionforforests.org), Family Affair welcome's Marc Barasch, bestselling author and founder of the Green World Campaign ( greenworld.org) as he invites us to green the world right now by planting 10 million trees in Ethiopia for just 25 cents a tree! We will also hear from world renowned environmental and human rights activist John Quigley (SpectralQ.com) who will be creating an aerial campaign with the Green World Campaign to bring radical awareness to healing nature and empowering people.

Family Affair is proud to bring you Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, Senior Scientist at Ocean Conservancy and a Research Associate at California Academy of Sciences. Wallace J. Nichols is an absolutely dynamic speaker who has dedicated his life to among many other things saving sea turtles. Founder of oceanrevolution.org, Wallace J Nichols will join us and challenge us all to become Eco Daredevils. Our mission is to educate each one of our guests to get off plastic water bottles. Viva la Ocean Revolution!

YOU MUST ARRIVE EARLY/ONTIME FOR THIS EVENT. Because of the fire codes The Standard Hotel downtown only allows 250 people on the rooftop at a time. Once the rooftop is full we have no way to let anyone else in until people leave. Please, please come early so this is not an issue. We want everyone to join us.

There is an after party in downtown Saturday night. Here are the details:
Space Island / "House Music" afterhours with special
guests Cmon & Kypsky from Amsterdam.
Special Guest DJ's to be announced...
$10 entrance with hotel wristband from Family Affair Party
10pm - 6am
Shuttles leave the Standard Saturday May 3rd evening at 9 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. ($15 to park all night) If you miss the shuttle from the hotel you'll have to catch the other shuttles leaving from Central and 1st ($5 to park all night) in downtown.
