Shaolin Temple, Los Angeles, 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1st celebrates the Grand Opening of the Shaolin Temple on Ventura Blvd.
Shaolin Temple at Mt. Song in Henan China is the world renowned birthplace of Chan (Zen) Buddhism, Shaolin Martial Kung Fu, and of martial arts sytems that have proliferated throughout asia and the world. Now, Abbot Shi Yan Fan, 34th generation disciple of Shaolin, is bringing Shaolin Temple to Los Angeles.
Come be a part of Shaolin History!
Festivities will commence March 1st at 9 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by The Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce and followed at 9:30 a.m. by Chinese Lion Dancers who will bless the new temple with a colorful presentation. This will be followed by a short 5 minute video introduction to Shaolin. Afterwards, Joseph C will give a short explanation of Shaolin history and practice, as requested by Abbot Shi Yan Fan.
Please come and enjoy the festivities. There will be refreshments and entertainment, as well as demonstrations. Come take advantage of this unique opportunity to train with a true Shaolin master. We are offering one month of free classes with a paid membership to Shaolin Temple Los Angeles in celebration of the Grand Opening.
Both March 2 and March 3 will be open house days as well, so feel free to stop by and enjoy the new Shaolin Temple Los Angeles!
