Art/project space for rent November 5th in a beautiful Boyle Heights loft.
Approx 200 square feet private space with regular ceilings plus additional optional closet and included common space for use.
Private area has half wood/half clouded plexi-glass walls with available sunlight coming through the skylight in the common area. Part of the room is raised about 5 feet for storage. There is also a separate optional walk in closet that comes with the room for clothing or other storage. Ideal for sewing or other tactile type design. - $450/$500 with closet.
Month to month lease is negotiable for longer time period with one month deposit. First month is prorated from the first, so you would not pay rent for the first four days of the month. Deposit is still one full month rent. Utilities come out to around $30 a month for Wifi, electric, and gas, depending on usage. If you are, for example, using studio lighting to shoot photos in the common space, electric will be adjusted accordingly.
Also included is communal restroom and refrigerator, plus communal chill or meeting space with table, couches, and stereo system. Stove and microwave is a possibility that I have not yet confirmed.
Basically , the unit was a live work space that must now be used solely for commercial purposes. The communal portion is bright and airy with positive people and great parking situation. You would be sharing the space with a photographer and performance artist in the front space and the back with me - a circus performer/ costume designer in the back portion. The communal space has concrete floors and can be utilized with notice for any extra large/messy short term building or projects. Within one block of post office, library and police station.
Please note that I am in New York thru November 2nd, and a friend will be showing the space.
