I got this this morning. Please send out to all email lists. The last time we posted horses in trouble people really responded so my hope is it will happen for these poor guys. Please see the story below.

Hi -
Just came from a ranch with 4 Belgians, one 18 yo mare, 3 8-9 yo geldings. the man died and his wife wants nothing to do with them. People are dropping in trying to keep them alive. They are eating molded sudan grass. They have no pasture, they are dropping weight rapidly. I am told they must be gone by the end of the week or they will send them to slaughter.
They are beautiful animals, just abandoned except for the kind ranchers who are trying to help. I am taking down some bermuda grass bales later today and mineral blocks to help keep them alive. I cant stand to see them eating molded sudan. It is just a crime. When I go down there I will take photos and send another email later.
Please spread the word about these animals. They are very big-my guess is the two largest geldings may be as much as 1500-1800 lbs. The mare has been driven, etc. They have all been haltered several years ago but no one has worked with them lately. They look in pretty good health from what I can see. They are of course not too friendly right now and the mare is the boss, no doubt there.
Let me know by email or call me after 8pm on 559-332-2049, my home phone if you can or someone you know can help. Do not use my cell phone as I do not get servce at home. They are free of charge to the first who takes them. Lets hope a killer buyer doesn't get wind of them.
