Hi All,
I am looking for my new home! I wrote an ad for Craig's List...it's a bit more conservative than what I'd normally post on Tribe, but I figure it covers what my needs are and what I am looking for! (See below) Ideally I'd like to be in Venice, but I am open to Mar Vista, Santa Monica, Topanga, & Malibu. I'd like to spend no more than $900 (and $900 is kinda pushing it a bit...), so please let me know if you have or know of a place that would be perfect for me! I am into finding a place with people if it's the right fit, preferably other women, or I'd be very happy with a studio or guest house all to myself & Shino (my cat)...
Creative 31 year old Female Looking for Long Term Rental in Venice
I am a 31 year old Artist & Designer with an orange Tabby Cat named Shino. We are looking for our new dwelling. I am currently living in Topanga, but need to move back to Venice Beach to be closer to the studio I am building in Mar Vista.
I love a clean & uncluttered home environment that inspires clarity, and vision. I like hardwood floors, plants, artistic touches, lots of light, and crystals. Though I enjoy a clean environment, I am not anal retentive...It's just my preference to live in a clean and organized home.
To give you a bit more background on me....I love making art, I design clothes, I teach sewing classes, and have lots of friends. I am a Los Angeles native --very rare! I enjoy dancing under the full moon in the California deserts with my friends, and I go to Burning Man most years. I like to do yoga, and meditate. I enjoy both solitude, and socializing. I love to cook, and go to the farmer's market. I am NOT a vegetarian --so that would need to be okay with any potential roommates.
I am hoping to find either a rental of my own, or a place with similarly minded roommates. I prefer that my cat be the only pet in the home, she's been moved around a lot in the past few years, and seems to do better in a home where she gets to be the only critter. She's super friendly, short haired, and well behaved. I clean her litter box once or sometimes twice a day, and she gets brushed almost daily. She is very popular amongst my friends because of her sweet and playful nature. She's almost entirely indoors, but explores outdoors just a little bit, so it would be nice if there was a yard, or at least a patio for her to go outside a bit.
Potential roommates: I prefer that we are around the same age, that you enjoy a peaceful living environment, and that you like things clean & clear. I like to have fun at home, but prefer that the house not become a constant crash pad...But, at the same time I'd like to be able to have my friends spend the night occasionally when the mood strikes.
My budget for rent is $700-900 a month. Wireless Internet is a necessity, as is parking in super populated parts of Venice. If you think you have a place for me, or if you have more questions about me, please get in touch.
