I'm looking for a marketing intern.
I'm a local author on a small press, so my marketing budget is deficient, but I have enough experience doing DIY marketing that this can work if I just have another person to help me out. I'm perfectly happy to work with your school to get you credits or whatever, an it will be a great learning experience. You would also be eligible to take my Guerrilla Marketing course next month for free. Naturally, I reimburse for expenses.
You would be doing research, tracking current efforts, identifying new targets, and following up with place that have gotten postcards and press releases. You may also be writing press releases.
I'd prefer a journalism or marketing major; excellent phone manner; internet research skills; ability to follow direction and ask questions while being an independent thinker; if you're comfortable in MS Access, it would be helpful.
I work out of my home, which is in Valencia, but I'm ok with you working from home most of the time, although you'll need internet access. NOTE TO COC STUDENTS: you can't get regular internship credit for this, because I work from home.
Please provide a resume in the body of your reply, as well as availability.
