My adorable guinea pigs, left in the care of one friend during the year I will be out of country, need a new home. Their host has developed a severe allergy to them and needs to hand them off ASAP. If someone I know could take them in for the year, I would be much relieved. The deal includes a couple well-loaded petco cards to pay for their supplies. Care essentially involves:
Keeping them stocked with pellets, hay, and most especially water. You can also share raw veggies with them, as a treat.
Changing their bedding monthly or so.
Keeping them away from other animals that would use them as chew toys. (Lidding the cage is sufficient in most cases.)
Not letting them overheat. (80 degrees is about their limit.)
Any takers? Please?
