Job Op for qualified applicants:
Position Description:
* Oversee the Operations department which include the Technical Assistance Center and Provisioning.
* Candidate will be responsible for network design, maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues with our core backbone and VoIP switch.
* Perform on-site consultations for customers with our Sales & Provision Managers
* Identify, research, evaluate and recommend the selection of network related tools and emerging network technologies
* Adept in using CRM tools such as NetSuite, and Network monitoring applications such as SolarWinds.
* Support and lead implementation of Tierzero's growing network infrastructure
* Dispatch to remote locations, typically within the Los Angeles metro area
* Participate in the rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the team providing third-level escalation support.
Position Requirements:
* Cisco VPN/remote access planning and support
* Medium to Large ISP experience (T1, T3)
* IP experience (to include subnetting and routing) and DNS
* Knowledge and experience with L2/L3 switching and standard network protocols.
* Advanced knowledge of VoIP and Telephony – software, understanding of networking
* Expert troubleshooting skills and experiences with large (1000+ phones) environment.
* Superior network routing protocol troubleshooting skills in all of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS
* Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, GRE, IPSec, POS, PPP, VRRP, HSRP, mainly Cisco PIX firewall experience and SNMP protocols
* Experience with Cisco 7200 series routers, Foundry switching, VLANs, QoS, Network Load Balancing
* Strong English-language written and oral communications skills with the ability to influence others with your stellar network engineering solutions
* Network certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (or equivalent training/experience) are preferred but not required
