Here's some testimonials from her last visit
Cecilia Garcia goes above and beyond the call of any doctor I've met.
> The first time I met with Cecilia, I was in tremendous physical pain,
> had symptoms that were making me think I was going to have to go to a
> "doctor" the next day, and was a wreck emotionally. Her careful
> attention to me as an individual included what was happening on each
> level. She gave me herbs, instructions, life altering advice, and an
> energy healing that cleared all my symptoms and pains completely
> within two days, starting immediately after her treatment. No
> antibiotics any allopath would have prescribed necessary, thank you
> very much. ~Ellie Davis
>
> I had my first Chumash healing experience with Cecilia and didn't know
> what to expect! With a curious and mind I entered the sacred space she
> had created and was intrigued... We had an immediate connection and
> she patiently erased all the question marks in my head. The healing
> itself was truly powerful as I entered a soothing dream state of total
> relaxation. Cecilia's powerful touch assured my body to surrender and
> LET GO... She carried out her work with love and care, emanating from
> an ancient place of depth and wisdom. As I woke up I felt reborn
> through her presence and have been evolving towards greater
> confidence, clarity, love and trust as a result of her healing. I
> genuinely recommend Cecilia's treatment to anyone who is ready to free
> their spirits of their silent burden and come into an open space of joy!

> My experience with Cecilia was subtle and profound.
> The First thing she told me was that she was creating
> a "safe place" for me. With sublime humour and
> insight, she showed me tools that I could use to
> benefit myself and all whom I came into contact with.
>
> Her wisdom permeates the veils of our obvious reality
> with astute and precise perception.
> I laughed so hard at the truths she revealed and was
> comforted by the fact that they were so honest. She
> gave me a gift that is immessurable in physical weight
> or monetary value. She showed me myself, so that I may
> have clarity. And with that clarity, I will remember
> the simplest and most important thing she said.
> "Remember to breath..."
> Thank You Cecelia. I am grateful for your realness. It
> makes all the Magic you have, so tangible and easy to
> digest.

Chumash Plant Healing Workshops
Meeting at the Deerhill Studio in Topanga
Sundays, 10 am to 1pm
May 11: Sage, songs & stories
May 18: Mugwort, songs & stories
You are welcome to participate in a light cold-food pot luck after the workshop.
Topanga Earth Days sponsored <free> Plant Healing Workshops are scheduled for May 11 & 18. Take this opportunity to learn about the natural world that surrounds us in the light of local native wisdom and culture. Cecilia Garcia was educated by her grandparents in the direct and deep lineage of the Chumash heritage. She is a superb communicator and inspired inspirer. Healing is more than a plant, it is a process and a participation. You will learn about the plants, and the songs, stories, dance and spirit that are integrally intertwined in Chumash culture & healing. We learn and we heal as we connect with plants, nature and our community, deepening our roots and participating in the renewal of our selves and our native culture. Please bring your Elderberry Clapper, rattle, or at least a pair of sticks to join the rhythm & song.
Last weekend's Elderberry Clapper Workshop was amazing! More than just making an instrument, the workshop restored us all to a child's purity, simplicity, wonder and creativity. At the same time, it was a vehicle to learn with our hands and hearts an intimate lesson in authentic native culture through making and playing with the main instrument and the rhythms of the Chumash. This was intertwined with stories of origin, animal parables, chanting songs, dancing, and 'finding the center' as we clapped the elderberry branches that we cleaned and decorated. There was a steaming gourd of healing herbs infusing the room, herbs in our headbands, paint on our faces, and smiling in our heart.
Cecilia Garcia is a Chumash Healer who was educated in healing by her grandparents. She has practiced Chumash healing her entire life. She continues to share her knowledge and healing and she is co-author with James D. Adams, Jr. (Prof. Of Pharmacology, USC) of the authoritative book "Healing with Medicinal Plants of the West: cultural and scientific basis for their use" (2005).
Ted Garcia is a story teller, song leader and sculptor. He is a respected Bear and the hereditary chief and family spokesman of the southern band Chumash & Tongva people.
Who: Kids & adults.
Date & Time: Sunday – May 11 & 18, 10am-1pm
Location: Deerhill Studio @ 1742 Deerhill Trail, Topanga
Directions: Topanga Canyon Blvd. turn onto Arteique Rd. (just north of Topanga Community House) then take a right turn at Deerhill (Cow) Trail. At 1742 (Bush-Vineberg on the mailbox) drive down the lane to the metal structure & park.

Base donation: Free for these two workshops.
