...Abbot Kinney is no wanna be anything else! Extremely homespun, not even the cooler parts of the EASTcoast village compare with that one little corner of Abbot's Habit/APC and the Tortilla Grill. They other day I placed a post about a cool Coffee house. I just want to say I LOVE ABBOT's Habit. I love it before it was Abbot's Habit. I love Abbot Kinney. I loved it when I was WASHINGTON. I LOVE HALS and I love CAROL and the funky place she has had FOREVER on boulevard. I loved ZENITA's art gallery that use to there. I grew up in Santa Monica and I have have a ton of friends and family STILL in Santa Monica and VENICE. I went to church for Years at New Bethel on 5th and Brooks. My brothers and sisters now own 6 lots there in Venice. I LOVE the ABBOT KINNEY FESTIVAL. I worked on it for 4 years. When I said Abbot Kinney was like a wanna be Melrose, that was in NO WAY a put down or a way of saying ABBOT KINNEY wasnt a cool place. So if some of you took it that way and felt you needed to send me emails. I just wanted to let you know this. I loved ABBOT KINNEY when it was WASHINGTON and I will continue to love it.
