On Thursday's Live Band Karaoke. On busy night's it's tuff to get more than a few songs in unless you sign up at 9:30 the first set starts about 10:00 - onlineMark , posted 11/14/06

Best restaurant/lounge/club in Hollywood!!!!
Boardner's has it all! It's a bar/ lounge, it's a restaurant, and it's a club!!! Every night of the week is different! The Tuesday Funk/ Soul club is awesome! Stop into the restaurant for a drink (happy hour has 1/2 price apps and discounted drinks 4-8) then head over to the club! The food is amazing, the staff is cool. If you want to show off your own talent, on Thursday they have Karaoke with a LIVE band! Totally fun, and not too crowded, so you will get on the mic! - tj , posted 10/20/06

fun fun
When they had Free Thinking on Friday's, it was a nice change-of-pace. I haven't been in years so they might not even have it anymore. The bar itself has a great patio area and old, eclectic decor. Drink prices are of course high and unless you arrive early, you'll need to pay for parking. - Julie , posted 11/09/05

Soak in some old Hollywood vibes...
Whenever I'm in Boardners, I think of the (fictional) moment in Ed Wood when Ed speaks to Orson Welles in this old dive bar off of Hollywood Boulevard, within walking distance of the American Cinematheque. The perfect place to just sit and have a beer by yourself as you wait for the next Cinematheque screening to begin! - Sherrie , posted 06/14/05

Great Hollywood bar
A nice local dive bar, with a big-screen TV and cool waitresses. Also have live bands in the patio out back. - Jackie , posted 11/03/04

an unpretentious place in Hollywood? Yes!
On a side street off Hollywood Blvd. you'll find Boardners. It's divided into a clubby-side and a lounge/bar area and there's an outdoor patio. The bar side doesn't have a cover, they serve food late, and the drinks are not expensive. Could it get any better? - Niki , posted 08/31/04

It's an old bar, not quite dive
Tucked away on a little side street off Hollywood Boulevard is Boardner's. At first, it gives off that dive bar vibe, but once you settle in, it's actually pretty cozy. There are booths to sink into as well, with a limited appetizer menu. No beers on tap, but you can pretty much order all the standards otherwise. - Max , posted 08/30/04

Shake Your Booty on Friday Night for FREE
Friday nights are "Free Thinking" at Boardner's in Hollywood. When I moved to LA this was one of the only places I could go and find good dance music that wasn't hip hop. Plus, you can't beat free entry. Parking is a bit of a problem unless you get there early and drinks are still Hollywood prices. The bar next door to the club is a wonderful place to chill. Be careful b/c it IS Hollywood, but still fun if you can get over the pretentious folks in the crowd. - Unsubscribed , posted 08/30/04
