so so
A lot of stuff to see but much of it is weak. There are definitely some standouts and it's worth a trip if you haven't seen it before. The Brewery complex itself is beautiful and a lot of people have done some impressive things architecturally. But, I think it suffers from being more of an artsy apartment complex than what it should be which is a place where people are making cutting edge art. So, go but lower your expectations. - , posted 01/23/06

I've been too much, I think
I've been to the Art Walk 3 years in a row, and after a while, it seems I'm just seeing the same work from the same artists. Or maybe I have a bad clog in the memory sector of my brain? Doesn't matter, it's still one of the most fun and interesting art events in LA. You can also find clothing designers, a great little used bookstore, and a restaurant tucked away inside the huge Brewery complex. - Sherrie , posted 06/17/05

Go see the Robots
This guy Christain makes the coolest robots. Watch them spit fire and rip stuff to shreads. Oh yeah and go see the artist lofts that's fun too... but the robots are the best. - Cynn , posted 05/27/05

Open House at the world's largest artist colony
Twice a year (April & October) the Brewery's artists and studios open up their doors for the public to come in and see where they live, work and their work. Artists work in every medium - from mechanical sculpture to portrait painting to cartooning. Some you may recognize, some may be new discoveries to you. Half the fun is seeing how the artist live and work in their studios in the converted former Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery. And it's free! The UPS depo across the streets opens up its huge parking lot for the public's use, also during the walk. Food available on site or drive down the street to Olivera Street, Chinatown or Phillipes Original French Dips. Great way to spend part of your weekend. Did I mention that it's free??
