Tiny little auto shop on a residential street in Cypress. Rather unimpressive to look at; they have about three bays (almost always full with long-term restoration / complete overhaul projects) and they are generally working on most of the cars in the driveway. Cars in for service are mostly parked on the street for lack of room. Fortunately, the owners/employees live in many of the nearby houses! What matters is they do quality work at a good price. I've been taking my car there for about a year on the recommendation of friends of my mother-in-law, and I've been satisfied with everything they've done (and we're talking about $3,000 of work). I've had them do work for LESS than they quoted, practically unheard of. They will make recommendations for what else needs done, as they should, but there is no pressure; if you say "That'll have to wait till my next paycheck", they won't push. Especially recommended for old-car owners. The guys here are all car nuts; they have their own race team and everything. My car's a '67 Ford Thunderbird and they've been quite keen to work on it. They've been open since 1967, so that's not too surprising ... They installed a starter for me and the replacement died. No quibbles at all, they simply swapped it for another for free. Compare that with Pep Boys, who flat out lied to me about a similar repair warranty claim. They do not do: alignments, tires, air conditioning, smog equipment. - Matthew , posted 09/01/04 |
