Honest Mechanic, Fantastic Service
There's a story behind how I ended up at this mechanic, so here's the short version;

I'm driving my '57 Chevy Bel Air on the 60 freeway through East LA, when it starts to backfire and die on me. As I exit the freeway, the car dies on me, no engine power, no nothing, and I take the Lorena St. exit. I coast with no power into the very first shop I saw, which was C&A Auto Clinic. Now, at this point, with my car dying on me, and me needing to get places, here was the shop owners first chance to take advantage of me. He checks out the car and tells me the ignition problems are due to the coil, and tells me where the closest Autozone is. After a minor tweak for FREE, I go get the part, replace it, but there are still problems. I drive it back to the shop, and really can't drive anywhere else, and now he has a second chance to take advantage of my situation. Literally, I would have been stuck in East LA if he couldn't fix it, that's how desperate my situation was. I leave the car and walk away for lunch, and he tunes my carburetor on the smog machine, fixes some loose wiring, all for his initial stated minimum fee of $65 dollars. He could have charged me more for tracing the loose wiring, but he didn't. The car has never run better, and I have this man to thank. His name is Carlos Paz, the owner of this shop. He speaks English and Spanish, so tell your friends. The shop is exactly where Lorena St. and the 60 fwy meet, in East Los Angeles. I highly recommend this shop.
