There's one near where I work
I don't go there often--it has to compete with Curry in a Hurry (Medjool cusine?) Cactus Taqueria in Berkeley and Oakland has the same steam table set up, and I prefer it. I think what gets to me is the slickness, but the truth to that is that the slickness is a sort of competence. As a place to get a quick meal on a half hour lunch, it definately fills a real need.

Then there's the whole Burrito thing. Burritos are Mexicalli, like Fajitas are Tex Mex. I'm not much of burrito eater these days, but I seriously wonder if non-Californians can do decent burritos. They seem to do a plausible approximation. - , posted 02/02/08

adequate
Decent fare, but not a patch on what you can get from dozens of places in the Mission in San Francisco. Kind of a weird mash-up between a Mission-style burrito and a NY wrap sort of thing... they use way too much rice, but the rest of the ingredients are ok. Plus they serve margaritas in little cups, which is sort of a plus, I guess.

Also, Chipotle was _not_ initially owned by McDonald's. It was started in Denver as an independent chain; McDonald's bought a small interest in the '90s and eventually owned a controlling interest in the company, and is now completely divested of it. So stop freaking out, Morgan Spurlock. - Frank Jones , posted 02/02/08

Pretty good fast food
For a company that was initially owned by McDonald's I'm impressed. The food is quick, tasty, and abundant. I don't have an issue with the length of time it's sitting in the steam tables. Chipotle is popular enough that when I go they're making more in the back and it rotates pretty quickly. If you're looking for a quick-service choice that's healthier than standard fast food, this is a pretty good choice. - , posted 02/02/08

I've Only Been Once
But I was kind of impressed. For mass-produced food you get large servings, total control over what they put into the wrap, and the staff and surroundings were pleasant for that kind of thing. (The one I was at was nowhere near Fullerton, where I've never been, nor California, where I never go -- it was on 34th Street, near Penn. Station). - , posted 02/02/08

MMM! MMM! GOOD!
Huge, fresh burritos (and other stuff, like tacos, fajitas, burrito bols quesdillas n yummy fresh guacamole n salsas) made to order (kinda like Subway). Not only tastes great, but is a good deal too! I can get at least two meals out of their ginormous burritos for less than $6. The best thing is you can order your food online and pick it up without standing in the out the door line (usually). Now that is V.I.P.! mmm! think I go eat some now.... - mingin21 , posted 02/01/08
