great apartment basements and laundry rooms
Los Angeles is a very large city sprawling many miles in all directions save westward where the ocean begins and developers have not yet figured out how to build waterproof condo units and apartments.
My favorite part of an apartment is the laundry room and with that said I would like to suggest one of my favorite in the eastside area of L.A.---This would be found along Benton street near Sunset Blvd. This is a most remarkable laundry room in that it has not only all the best accomadations to be expected of a superb laundry room but the accoustics are such that it is a great place to yodel all through out the night. Do the neighbors complain? Of course not, in fact they often come down with food and beverages in hand to join you.
The landlord of this apartment complex is a crazy asian man who wears a rather large straw hat and practices the deadly Black Dao arts thus forming a black magic protection barrier around these apartments. Guarding the hallway, which leads to the "laundry room" is a cranky, vicious orange and white tabby (tabby meaning mongrel in this case). People are afraid of this cat so the hallways are almost empty except at night when it runs across the street to urinate on the neighbors' flowers.
Overall, I've found that the laundry room at these apartments are incredible and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is finicky about where they smell their mold or like to perform shadow puppet shows with their flashlight late at night. - Rich , posted 04/13/05
