Love it!
I like Argentinian food because it isn't over spiced.
It's a very nice little place. There was a tea they had too that I really liked. I forget what it was called, and the desert thingys were good too. - tumbleweed , posted 02/16/06

Yum, but pricey
Great empanadas -- the traditional spiced beef ones and the one with eggplant are SOOOO good. However, it seems like it ought to be a bit cheaper given the low overhead -- mom'n'pop ambience, not much variety, small place. - Beth , posted 02/15/06

oh yes indeed
These guys are really great. Massively enjoyed the three flavors of empanadas I tried there and I'm looking forward to going again.

Try them out for certain. in fact take four people for lunch and buy a dozen fo $30 and get three a piece at a discount. - Beyonder , posted 07/19/05

a giant won ton
i've only ever tried empanadas in their "mini-me" version as hors d'ouevres or appetizers. i didn't know they were actually hungry-man sized until i ate here! nothing horrible about the place, just that empandas were a little heavy for my taste.

too bland
I tasted three different varieties, and thought they were all bland; gringoed - Sarah , posted 02/23/05

Empanadas for vegetarians, even
A great selection of tasty empanadas, in both meaty and veggie versions--some traditional, some not. The decor is very clean and slightly kitschily European, but peaceful, with lots of vintage tango posters. Try the submarino--hot chocolate made with a square of chocolate submerged in hot milk. Hot chocolate on the top, melty chocolate goodness on the bottom. What's not to love? - Rebecca , posted 11/15/04

Amazing Empanadas
You can satisfy your Argentinean fix here. Get yourself two, three or even four empanadas without paying much (it's cash only, though). I love the Tucumana (chopped beef with hard boiled eggs), the Pascualina (spinach and parmesan), and the Arabe (lemon herb ground beef). There are two other locations (Tarzana and West Hollywood) as well. - Polarbeast , posted 08/26/04
