my favorite "hunting ground" for that sort of stuff. Plan to spend a couple hours or more wandering around - you'll find whatever you need to make the wackiest costumes you can imagine. There are tons of hole-in-the-wall fabric stores along 9th st, and places to find trims, feather boas, every type of fake fur ever made, etc. Haggling is part of the experience.
