Whether you like Albums, CD's, or live music Fingerprints has it all! Located in Belmont Shores Fingerprints offers great service with informed clerks who specializes in various genres of music. Some of them are musicians and some of them are DJ's so they can come up with the right music to suit your mood. They also offer a music finder service that has the added benefit of getting your music at a 10% discount for using their finder service (usually other services charge you to find the music). They also feature live bands and artists for free! Some prior artists they have featured in the past have been Pete Yorn, Missy Higgins, & Damien Rice!!  If i need records and do not feel like driving to Amoeba, I will go down the street to fingerprints. Try to find parking, it is an adventure. I usually park a block away. As for the used record pricing, better than Amoeba, while the selection is certainly not as good. Always a great stop to make and is a local gem. Every time I'm out for a walk around town I stop there and usually end up buying something. It's easy to find new music and it is a classic example of a kickass, classic, record store. Every neighborhood needs one. - Kelly , posted 03/29/06 |

If you want to get near the experience of shopping at a record store a la High Fidelity, Fingerprints is the place. The staff rocks! Super friendly and insanely knowledgeable, they will help you find what you need. For those of us who dont live in LA and can't make it up to Amoeba, you will find what you are looking for here.
