Incompetent practice
I took my dog there after she was diagnosed with "chronic" renal failure by several incompetent vets. She was in the acute phrase of renal failure secondary to nausea/vomitting related to pancreatitis. They told me she needed this and that and she was beyond help and my dog would die in a few weeks. Anyhow, I took my dog there for treatment several times because I did not know any better. One of the vet there seems to be friendly and courteous. His son was not. I work in the healthcare field as a RN and I've seen many elderly folks recovered for a creatinine of 6 to even 8 without being on dialysis. All they need were intravenous fluid resusitation and proper antibiotics. How could anyone diagnosed my dog in chronic stage when her creatinine was between 2-5 and she is able to urinate and with proper IV fluid, her creatinine went back to 1.5-2.3 within 24 hrs. I am very disappointed not only with this hospital but many others. I do not mind spending money for my dog but not properly treating my dog or other poor helpless creatures are unexcusable. People like them should not be in practice. - doug , posted 03/25/08

AllCare was sued for malpractice
Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital has a veterinarian that used to work for a hospital called All-Care. All-Care was sued for malpractice. They killed animals and lied about their practices. The staff at Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital seemed nice and friendly but after my dog was wrongfully diagnosed with a rare cancer called hermangiosarcoma, I did research and seeked further advice from other veterinary care-givers. I found out that my dog DID NOT have that disease! It makes me worry that my dog was abused while he spent nights under the care of Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital. I was told my dog was going to die and that he only had a few months left. My whole family was devastated. We were financially burdened with the cost of animal care. I was so angry when I found out that my dog was fine the whole time! I really hate Garden Grove Dog and Cat Hospital for lying and for taking advantage of the love I have for my pet. No one should bear the thought that their beloved pet is being harmed by a bunch of fraudulent quacks that call themselves animal doctors. - mj , posted 12/17/06

Wonderful Vet!
The Garden Grove Dog & Cat Hospital is a wonderful full service vet. The staff is friendly, the prices are resonable and the Doctors are thorough and caring.

I've taken each of my cats and a pet rat to them and they've been tremendously helpful and kind. I highly recommend this hospital and it's staff to anyone in need of a qualified vet. - MistressPrime , posted 09/09/04
