Powaqqatsi
Godfrey Reggio's Powaqqatsi, 1987, is the only film I've seen from his QATSI trilogy, is my favorite piece of Cinematic Art for it's stunning visuals: "a celebration of the human-scale endeavor the craftsmanship, spiritual worship, labor and creativity that defines a particular culture". Composed by Philip Glass. I was fortunate to see this at UCLA's Royce Hall, a brilliant venue, with a friend of mine who is an Italian Instructor from Rome. This film is so powerful it moved me to tears in awe of the beautiful tragedy of the machinations of living and how very fortunate we are to be here now. - , posted 12/05/06
