Hennessey + Ingalls is expensive, but they have a great selection of art and design books and magazines. You'll often find yourself rubbing elbows with LA's best artists and designers, overhear conversations between the very literate and well educated staff, and maybe even get a parking ticket! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My favorite book store in the world. They used to be located on 3rd st. in Santa Monica but since the freakin' promenade turned into Main st. USA, they were forced to relocate to Wilshire Blvd. A HUGE selection of books. They even have some old out of prints in the back. - Dropping , posted 10/28/04 |

This is probably hands-down the greatest bookstore in all of LA if you are looking for books & magazines on the subject of: > Fine art > Photography > Architecture > Graphic Design > Fashion > Typography > Film & Cinema > Sculpture > Visual arts That's all I need to say.
