the truth from a formor employee
As A former Employee I want to let all know the real truth about this place!

The owners are doing sever extreme illegal actions at this salon!

With the Clients!

1. The pumi's in the guess boxes are not new they are just cleaned re-used pumi's! also when an actual clients box has no pumi in it and the salon is out of new pumi's they would have the employee or tech but a cleaned used one in your box! That's nasty they also always but used buffers and toe separators in your boxes too! Also when the boxes were being cleaned the nail clipper's never get a new one nor is the mettle pusher new those are all re-used! The only new stuff there is in a new box is a pumi ,wood stick, orange buffer and toe
separators. Everything else is used stuff!

2. The orange buffers are not all new too, they use cuticle oil to get rid of the scratch marks on them and make them look new again!

3. The owners really don't know when the Sherman Oaks location will be opening they will keep lying and say 2 weeks until it really does open up!

4. They don't care about their clients issues with appointments or problems with the technitions or staff they have said that they can afford to lose the ones they have now because when they re-open the other location they will make new clients!

5. When the clients complain or argue to the staff about there problems with their service and want to speak to the owners about it or have them call the 2 owners don't even care they ignore it completely so it does no good to report things because they just don't care!
Your better off just finding another salon! Don't give these jerks your business!

With The Employee's!

1. The owners do not provide breaks or lunches! When one works over 8 hours they are required by law to have two 10 min breaks and a 1 hour lunch, the employees do not receive that!

2. The owners say that the employees are paid salary but on their paycheck it shows hourly and overtime at a dollar amount rate, so Ronnie and Eyal have been screwing the system to make it look like legally they are giving lunches and breaks but they aren't! They make the check also look like it come out to the salary amount they promised BUT if there is a day that an employee is scheduled to work but either was sick or the salon was closed dew to a holiday that employee looses all wages for that day! So realistically he is paying the employee salary per day and hourly per month! Which is completely backwards and against the law!

3. There is no insurance provided, there is no holiday pay, no sick days, no vacation time acquired working for these assholes!

4. The employees are required to work Mon- Sat 9:30am-7:30pm and on Sun 10:30am to 5:30pm, that's 9.5 hours per day m-sat and 6.5 hours on sun! So the average employee would work 47.5 or 44.5 hour in one week actual working hours! But on the check it would show only 8.5 hours worked! Now that's fucked up!

Do you really want to give business to these guys who treat there employees so unfairly and illegally? As well as how they really treat you as the Client?

I sure don't! - fearia , posted 06/25/08

Hands to Hold -- No bad
I would have given this nail salon 5 stars except for one thing... the price. They're VERY busy, so it's a good idea to call ahead for an appointment -- they give each client a box of their very own nail tools which are not used on anyone else, and they clean and disinfect them after every use, and keep them in a huge wall of filed boxes to make sure you always get your tools. I like that, as I have suffered from nail fungus issues from other salons. It's a little bit impersonal and there are SO many nail stations that you never know who you're going to get, although if you like a certain tech you can request them. I was very happy with the quality of work and my manicure and pedicure looked great for two whole weeks. My only real complaint was the cost -- they charge an average of 20-30% more than the smaller salons in the area. - Julie , posted 04/07/07

Bad Customer Service
I've been going there since September of 2006 and more than not have gotten good service and don't usually have to make an appointment. However, the last two times I went there, I've been told I had to wait...ok fine, I understand since I didn't want to make an appointment. Well two weeks ago, I was told I'd have to wait 1/2 an hour. Ok fine. Then someone walked in RIGHT after me, no appointment, never been there before, asked how long of a wait and said she was in a hurry and started walking out. AMAZING, they found a spot for her and seated her BEFORE me. She was getting both a mani and a pedi and was even finished BEFORE me.

I sort of realized why they did this as it was obvious that I was going to wait so they'd get 2 sales out of the deal. Soooo, I went in the next week and was told I'd have to wait an hour and a half. Well I'd decided to walk this time and had just gotten done walking a mile to get there, was hot, and was told I'd have to wait that long. I said I was in a hurry and they said sorry...that's the soonest. WHAT?? Needless to say, I walked out and didn't come back and they didn't try to stop me.

Well I won't be going there any more and they've just lost what would have been a long term customer. Hope the mani/pedi last week was worth it. I wouldn't recommend them based on their customer service alone. - Heather , posted 03/17/07

Great manicures and pedicures that are sanitary
I always wonder if the places where you get your nails done are clean and sanitary. Well I found a place where you get your own tools and they keep them in a box just for you. This shop in Sherman Oaks is a great place where the fear of fungus is taken out of your mind. See Jamie for the best care and attention - Joyce , posted 09/03/04
