I took my 70 bug here in a pinch 'cause it was close to my house. The guys were very kind and helpful, but the mechanic adjusted my distributor by "ear". He then asked me for 80 bucks. I told him I could have done that myself. He said, "Why didn't you?" I left and took it to my regular mechanic a couple days later and, out of embarrassment, told him I had tried to time it myself. It's true that Herbie has retired, but the new guy is really helpful and does good work. He is becoming active in the community and is working hard to reach out to new customers. This is still a great place to get your car fixed! - Jennifer , posted 08/10/06 |
