free dessert
Hello to those of you who want to try raw food. Hello to the ones who have already had the pleasure. And hello to the scaredy cats who have no interest. I want invite you to come see me at 6th and Broadway in Santa Monica for a free dessert and sampling of our new fantasy, famous, mouth watering master pieces. The prices are now more affordable we have added a new section to the menu so that those of us that don't have millions of dollars can still enjoy true gourmet raw creations. Come on in any time from now until x-mas and receive a free chocolate dessert and samples. See you soon... - Juliano , posted 11/30/06

Delicious! entrees from $5-$10
There are many entrees available that are from $5 to $10 dollars. I had the mango crepes and they were so yummy and satisfying. The immunity shot is also great with pieces of strawberry pieces at the bottom. The vanilla silk milk made from macadamia nuts is very smooth, sweet, and delicious and the Red Tea is very refreshing and fruity. The service is great and the restaurant feels just as alive as the food because of the lovely variety of plants and orchids. - Ambar , posted 06/06/06

Hmmm, come on now.
Let me start by saying I love raw food. I have been a raw vegan for awhile now and I have wanted to check out Juliano's Raw for quite some time but I have to tell you that I had the worst dining experience there on my birthday.

I started by letting my server know that I have a brazil nut alergy and requested confirmation that what I was ordering was going to be safe for me to eat.

We waited for 45 min. or more for our food to arrive..that's cool. The presentation was lame...o.k, that's cool. The very FIRST bite I took had brazil nuts in it!! Now wait...didn't I ask?

When I flagged the waitress she said they had a new chef??! O.k so accidents happen but don't they know that nut allergies can be life threatening? (it turns out though that at the back of the menu there was a no nut menu! The waitress never mentioned that...I mean the menu IS a novella).
During all of this Juliano is sitting no more than ten feet away from us. What I see when the waitress asks him about the nuts was some smart ass reaction to what he was being told. When he noticed I was watching he stood turned his back and continued his tantrum.
Now I worked in restaurants for many years and I have to tell you that I am always beyond kind to the staff and always patient when I'm waiting for my food but his reaction to being told that a patron was having an allergic reaction in his restaurant was apalling.
I never even got an apology, nothing.

First the food wasn't that impressive. The presentation was terrible and the decor was boring...the prices rediculous!

I think his head has gotten a bit big...I must say though that his recipe book IS wonderful. I recomend you buy the book and skip the restaurant...the book is cheaper.

Just go...do not stop!!
I've been following Juliano's cuisine for years...and lately it's found an amazing level of perfection. The service is usually less than desirable..but - the food is incredible. This will convert you to a new understanding of food possibilities. Go go go!! - Organic , posted 02/19/05

Raw Food is Good.
You might not notice while eating your Chicken Pad Thai that it is really not chicken. It's also not tofu or any other soy invention. Juliano's Raw is a raw food restaurant to the core dedicated to making beautifully tasting food that follows the raw movement ideals that improve digestion and enzyme levels. From Appetizer to Dessert, everything here is wonderful. - Zach , posted 09/09/04
