Enjoy going
The zoo does a great deal to help animals, the environment, and conservation. Enjoyed it and have no problem knowing the money is well spent! - Mike , posted 02/02/06

Prison
No animal deserves to live in this sort of prison, only to be gawked at by paying families. If you want to see animals, drive out to somewhere remote, or watch a documentary. - Unsubscribed , posted 12/30/05

Nothing sadder than the giraffes.
Last time I was there they were just walking around in a circle in their enclosure. Poor fellows.

This place is a 'zoo' in every sense of the word. Save your money and drive out of town to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego, where at least the animals have some breathing room. - Sherrie , posted 07/08/05

Nice for the kids ... but
As you get older and view the prisoners again ...
yes, you see just how miserable they really are.

In fifty years, half of the other species on Earth will be wiped out. Sad?

Two children is zero growth population.
One is negative growth.
Three and you're part of the problem. - onlineCarlos , posted 12/10/04

Fun for the kids!
The Los Angeles Zoo is a nice place to take the kids. There are lots of animals, especially mammals. However, right now there is a lot of construction going on. Lots of exhibits are closed and many animals seem to be missing in action. Taking that into account, the LA Zoo is still a wonderful place to walk around and see some exotic animals that you don't see every day. The animal shows are lots of fun too! - Keren , posted 11/11/04
