Madame Matisse is my spot
Love this place. Fresh food, faces. Well prepared dishes. Cozy (if tight) atmosphere. Heading there now to get my sister a Beet/Walnut Salad. Talk about YUMMY!? Mmmmm... - Qevin , posted 12/16/06

Hard to go wrong!
This place has been solid since it first opened. Olivier (owner and chef) has a knack for having great dishes you will find nowhere else. Good people too. Just a couple of doors down from Millie's and easier on the digestive system. Bon Appetit.

Fresh French Food
Sunset Blvd. may be roaring next to you at this small sidewalk eatery but it's worth it. If you nab the right table, you can even watch the chef at work. Very subtle, fresh, bistro French food at decent prices! Great service, no 'tude, a great little neighborhood restaurant. - Sherrie , posted 07/18/05

Nice Atmosphere, Good Food
This is a great place to people watch if you sit outside. The food is good and healthy, whether you eat breakfast, brunch, or dinner, and the portions are a good size. This is a favorite with locals within walking distance. - Daniel , posted 12/06/04

Elegant Yet Humble French Cuisine in Silver Lake
There are two times to go to Madame Matisse: one is in the morning, to enjoy their supremely good omelettes; the other is in the evening, when a chalkboard will list delectable dishes such as a scallop salad or penne with sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and feta. There's often a bit of a wait, as this is a favorite Silver Lake haunt, but it's worth it. - Polarbeast , posted 09/02/04
