I love my acupuncturist, but he's so good that there's a month-long wait to get an appointment! I was seeing Majid consistently for about five years while I was detoxing from the SAD diet. I had recurring kidney infections and lung infections, and knew the names of all the major antibiotics, and they weren't working to quell my kidney problems. Majid's herb formulas gently detoxed the antibiotic residues while supporting me to strengthen my immune system and regain my health. If it wasn't for Majid, I eventually would have had to go to extreme measues such as kidney dialysis. Now, that's now even a remote concern!!! Majid trained with Dr. Matt van Benschoten, and uses a very advanced muscle-testing technique to determine first where your energy body is off (he muscle-tests your meridians) and then what herbs will move you towards balance (he muscle-tests for herbs to balance each issue that came up in the "diagnostic" round). His herbal formulas are based on the five-element system, with the muscle-testing as a verification. The herbs are in the form of freeze-dried powder, so you can easily take your bottle with you to work or wherever, and just wash it down with water or juice. No cooking pots of tea. Majid is a master herbalist, so most of his patients go just for herbs, and if you also want a needle treatment, you have to specify that when making an appointment. He has a beautiful touch with the needles; they don't hurt unless you have such an issue on a particular meridian that just touching it hurts. He custom-blends your herb formula while you wait, and you can call in for refills without paying for another appointment. Unless you know you need a different formula, which is often the case; they are energetically powerful, and may shift your system dramatically. I always save the formulas that are currently not needed; they usually come around again as my system peels off layers....
