I moved to San Francisco and am still looking for a dentist like Michael. For a person like me who has lousy teeth, he was wonderful helping me take care of my teeth while being minimally intrusive (unlike this Marin dentist who just wanted to do everything). Con: He only works 4 days a week, and you have to book months-years in advance. -  Mitchell

I hate to be theonly one up here with a so so review but i really feel like i need to. I think Zola and his staff are super, they are very nice and comforting. This being said, I had a ton of work done by Zola which felt fine at the time. I moved cities and went to another dentist who said all the work i had by Zola needed to be RE-done. I went to a second new dentist for another opinion and he said the same thing. I have since been having root canals redone and other major problems due to lack of cleaning before crowns were put on and fillings were applied. Just be careful, no mater what dentist you choose, no matter how nice they are, you should get a secong opinion sometimes. - lp , posted 02/12/08 |

Dr. Zola is very honest about the work you should or shouldn't have done. He really cares about his patients and will refuse to do something which would ruin healthy teeth (in my case he said I don't need so many veneers as I thought I needed and I'm very happy that he persuded me to have only 4 done! The result is brilliant and my healthy teeth are not ruined) He is a great dentist and makes the veneers look really natural but very white in same time. I have been going to Michael Zola's office for the last 6 years-He really is the best AND the FUNNIEST dentist you will ever meet- he is so busy cracking jokes you forget you are in the dentist chair. He's also very cool and travels the world regularly- not your run of the mill dentist- HIGHLY recommended and his hygenists are all great too!! I hesitate to give such a glowing review because it will just make it harder for me to get in to see him, but I have to say that Dr. Zola is a fantastic dentist with an amazing staff. He is a perfectionist and truly cares about his patients. Athough he is one of the busiest dentist's I've ever seen, I've never waited longer than 10 minutes to see him (assuming you are on time). Even though he can't always give 100% personal attention to his patients, he hires extremely competent dentists and staff to look after them. ...cause nobody really wants to go to the dentist. But Zola has the best hygienists in the busiest practice I've ever seen. He's Super-Dentist. If you can get yourself an appt., you're a lucky soul. I book my four-month returns a year in advance. - Colleen , posted 10/31/04 |
