Michelangelo is one of those tiny treasures in L.A. Owned by an Italian family (which always is a good idea), they serve very good food in an elegant atmosphere, lifted by the friendliness of the boisterous owners. Do try their caprese, because the mozzarella is homemade. Seriously. It's homemade. Also go with whatever special they have that evening, and feel free to bring your own wine selection (the corkage fee isn't as high as some places in L.A.). The pizzas, the pastas, the desserts all deserve praise. Dine either inside the close-but-tastefully designed interior or sit out on the cozy sidewalk patio. - Polarbeast , posted 09/02/04 |
