If you're in Los Angeles, part of the experience is visiting the Milky Way, a fantastic restaurant serving kosher dairy menu items from roulades to blintzes. But the fun part is meeting the owner of the Milky Way, Leah Adler, better known as Steven Spielberg's mother. She works there seven days a week and often just pulls up a chair and chats with her customers. She'll show you pictures of her and her famous son, which dot the walls of the restaurant. So stop by the Milky Way, enjoy a tuna sandwich (Steven's favorite item on the menu) and thank the mother of one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. - Jason , posted 09/03/04 |
