Unique and hip stuff
I've only been once to this market (I live on the west side and don't always make it to Hollywood). I bought really cool stuff including silver jewelry, tons of clothes and a painting. This means a lot as I normally shop at thriftstores and cheap places such as Ross, Target etc. All of the vendors sell their stuff for wholesale prices or less. The market was still small but it sure will grow fast as the word spreads... the only negative was the admission price of $5 which I think is overpriced considering the (still) small size. - Claudia , posted 06/19/05

Shop And More
Definitely a best kept secret for shoppers seeking new styles. It's not just a shopping experience but a great place to just hang with your friends or meet new ones. - Rick , posted 05/24/05

An elevated shopping experience
For years, Phillip Dane had nurtured that most improbable of L.A. dreams: a giant bargain shopping event with free, easy access parking.

As of now, it's become a reality. Peddler On The Roof, a weekly flea market for the Fred Segal set, every Saturday on the top level of the 1,100-spot parking garage at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood.

Targeting style hounds with an edge, Phillip Dane, who founded the Sunday morning Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax High School 12 years ago, brings in celebrity DJs, as well as a rapidly growing roster of fashion finds including leather bags by Dean, jewelry by Piedra Stone and snarky T-shirts by Unscripted actress and George Clooney-ex Krista Allen.

It's not just another sample sale for the size-2 brigade. Vendors are looking to ditch overruns, meaning bargain hunters of all sizes get to snap up to $200 jeans for $20 before mosying over to the indoor food stalls.

Elevate the art of flea market to new heights! - Joey , posted 05/24/05
