Listen up ANGELENOS, I don't know WHAT people are lining up and grovelling for over at PINK'S, this place serves boiled shiny greasy disgusting slop-dogs that are pure CRAP! BECAUSE YOU FOOLS DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER!! You WANT A HOT DOG? TRY the lunch stand at COSTCO! NOW THAT is a hot dog. - Matt , posted 12/28/05

best hot dogs
If you're super hungry, it's best to go some place else. It takes about 20 minutes in line but is well worth the wait. The Harry Potter dog is to die for. Polish sausage, nacho cheese, mushrooms, and onions. It's making me miss L.A. just thinking about it. If you don't want to wait in line, the best time to go is on a weekday middle of the day or when it's sprinkling. - Julie , posted 11/09/05

Don't go for "just" a hot dog...
If you go and only have a regular hot dog, you'll probably leave wondering why you waited so long for it. HOWEVER... if you have something like a POLI-BACON BURRITO DOG (my favorite, with extra mustard) you won't soon forget this place. Go once...
Yeah, line up once, get the experience out of the way, tell your friends the famous 'Orson Welles used to eat 13 of these chili dogs' story and then you're done. But if you want a killer hotdog that isn't going to send you to the bathroom for hours then try SCOOBY's in Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. - Sherrie , posted 06/16/05

an LA experience
if you ever drive by pinks around 2am... you see tons of people waiting in line for one of these dogs. are they that great? as far as dogs go, i think so. it's fun, but once it passes through you... its less fun. its for those with iron innards! - fruitbat , posted 08/27/04

Go back home!
Haha! To make my story short, my family and I went to Pink's Hot Dogs after seeing the musical Hairspray. Being decked out (and living in So Cal my whole life), my brother and I felt a bit funny waiting in line for over an hour with all the other tourists for something we could put on the grill at home. Our thought was that they better be VERY GOOD because we were hungry!! Being a bit disappointed and pissed we waited so long for something so not really good, I don't think I'll go back. However, like someone else's comment, I'll tell the tourists to go there just because it's the "thing to do" in LA. <Insert evil laugh here> - Unsubscribed , posted 08/27/04

Or come to my house!
Who wants to stand in line for a hotdog. My husband rocks because he finally got the Pink's recipe down to a science. We have our chili-dogs at home without the hour wait and soggy bread!

I still tell the tourists to go to Pink's...it keeps them off the streets for a few hours. - faboo , posted 08/26/04
