If you're looking for a day at our famous California coast, I suggest going to Point Dume. The beach alone is beautiful and a regular point for dolphin watching, but it's the mountain that hold my heart. For novices there's a well defined and gate lined path up the mountain while the pros can just scale the side. Either way, the view at the top is breathtaking and the path is a great way to get some exercise in. Finish up the day sunbathing on the sandy beach or explore one of the hidden clothes. It's up to you to make your own adventure here, but there's plenty to help you along your way. - Stephanie , posted 11/01/04 |
