Two Words
Potato Balls. Love them. They're guava and cheese pastries are quite tasty as well, but honestly it's the potato balls. Pricing is affordable, and while the place is always busy there is a method to the madness. - Christal , posted 01/02/08

i love porto's meat pies, pastrys, and cakes. Try the carrot cake chocolate, raspberry chocolate mousse, or my personal favorite the flourless chocolate cake. - Cori , posted 09/11/06

Feta Sandwich and Materva
Its the guava and cheese pastries from childhood that my family would travel to Glendale. Now if I find myself anywhere near Glendale at lunchtime I'll stop off for a sandwich and a coffee or a soda. Its on my list. - Paul , posted 06/08/06

excellent pastry!
i've loved this place since i was a little kid. the potato balls, meat pies and the guava pastries are to die for.

i remember when it was a tiny little shop, about a third of the size it is now. though that hasn't stopped the place from being packed almost 24/7. it's certainly worth the wait and the crowd. - Unsubscribed , posted 01/18/06

The things people will do for pastry.
I have been shoved and pushed and stepped on in the bakery during a busy Saturday morning, but it matters not - the pastries are worth it. - Sherrie , posted 06/17/05

Great
Not a celebration in my family goes by without ordering food from Porto's. They are simply the best for delicious food for a big group and a great price. - Alex , posted 10/26/04

Awesome cakes, great prices
The Tiramisu, Carrot Cake, and Flan are my favorites. They also have cakes for special occasions, cookies, bread - all freshly baked. And once you've had a shot of Cuban coffee (espresso), you'll understand why they talk so fast! Grab a Cuban sandwich to go while you're there. And you won't believe the low prices. I love this place! - Lourdes , posted 10/25/04
