Last year we thru an afterparty at Santino's in Hollywood, for the movie “Beyond Black Rock” www.beyondblackrock.com/ This year Santino opened a new place in Santa Monica www.santinosplace.com/web/index.html 3021 Lincoln Blvd (310) 392-5920 Santino's is an Argentinean restaurant with enough American selections to accommodate statesiders who resist Entrees range from a vegetable plate, to a Milanesa steak. Apparently, there are tons of Italians in Argentina, which means there is a heavy influence on the cuisine. When I think of taking general South American cuisine and combining it with Italian ingredients it sends my taste buds into breakdance mode. To wash down these cool eclectic flavors are a great mix of bottled beers, Luau on draft from Hawaii and the best damn Sangria on the planet, delivered by one of the cool staff in a cool glass pitcher. Relax while you watch Premier League Futbol in Spanish on the 42" flat screen TV. Desserts, like flan, Tiramisu or Crème Brule, can be accompanied by Argentinean tea.
