Good resource, over-hyped
A Buddhist proverb: "If you meet the Buddha on the highway, kill him." In other words, don't let anyone sell you easy tickets to enlightenment, and do the work for you.

That's mostly what's for sale at this spirituality specialty store, which would be a great resource were it not so misused. They do have a great selection of uncommon texts, which is nice if you're willing to pay the higher prices to subsidize their Melrose rent. Otherwise, stick to online book retailers, where these same texts can be found at lower cost.

If you want enlightenment or spirituality, seek out mentors to guide you on your own spiritual path: not a cashier at the Bodhi Tree to recommend the "best" book on Kabbalah. - Unsubscribed , posted 12/29/05

Don't forget their used book annex in the back. Many a deal can be found and you can also bargain a little bit, if you are discrete! - Sherrie , posted 08/01/05

Fantastic Book store specializing in Spirituality
I've been a satisfied and faithful customer for about 15 years now and I have yet to find another book shop that so thoroughly specializes in 'spiritual' oriented books and literature.

As well, you will find subjects such as meta-physics, fringe science, paranormal, religion, mysticism, health, alternative/homeopathic care, and a multitude of other specific subjects.

Highly recommended. - Ranxerox , posted 09/10/04

Great New Age Bookstore
This place has everything under the sun. From books to incense to crystals to you name it. They have a very freindly staff as well. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the free herbal tea while you browse! - Kelly , posted 09/01/04
