well, i am biased, as a former mendocinian...but seriously some of the best people and definitely some of the most spectacularly beautiful earth you will have ever seen is right here...i miss it. so you should go! - skadi , posted 03/07/06 |
 First of all, the drive to get to this place is out of this world! I highly reccommend going there in some form of high performance sports car...the winding road surrounded by giant red wood trees is so amazing. Follow that up with the twisted drive along the coast...it's amazing! The hotel is not the ritz, but it has charm nevertheless. Rooms have wood burning fireplaces and incredible views of the ocean--very romantic indeed! Eat at the restaurant--fresh food made with ingridients that are actually grown at the Inn's private garden. The golf course is not too bad, but the views are spectacular and you will most likely see some deer and/or other nature type animals. But most of all, head into town and explore all it has to offer. This quaint little place has inspired several famous writers and will help take your mind off of whatever troubles you are having. - the other Jeff , posted 08/09/05 |
