Yum Yum and Yummy and More So
Besides the Blue Hawaiian, which is not only beautifully presented, it makes me all warm and fuzzy, too, the Bayanihan is probably my current fave. It's kind of like the pina-colada of the gods. Of course, that's probably because I can never quite remember how anything else tasted after the first drink and a half...but in a good way. It's a festival of good flavors that will leave you tingling for more! This place, however, is not for the faint of lung - smoking is permitted inside (yes, legally) and the cramped quarters can sometimes make it seem like you're living inside an ashtray. - strangekat , posted 06/27/06

Best fruity boat drinks ever
It's tiny, but worth squeezing in to. Each drink is a work of art, a masterpiece of mixology, and it's always a pleasure to watch them being made.
I recommend the Blue Hawaiian, their "flagship" beverage. You'd better have a ride to wherever you're going afterwards, because you wont be driving after one of these. - Miles , posted 06/25/06

Tiki Eden
This is THE quintessential retro tiki kitsch mecca. It doesn't get any better than the Tiki Ti. It's tiny; a large party will fill the entire bar, so you may have to wait awhile outside. The menu is huger than you can imagine, with no descriptions, just colorful names, organized by predominant liquor. The selections are potent. You've just got to go see for yourself, trust me. - , posted 02/27/06

Small space but powerful drinks
Like a very samll living room with Tiki decor all around. One drink will give you a very good buzz, a second will leave you completely drunk but they don't come cheap. Last time I went there they allowed smoking inside, there was a sign posted that explained because it was purely family owned and staffed that they could allow smoking on their premises. Don't know if that rule still exists. Sometimes you have to wait a line on weekends and the schedule is sporadic as has been already noted. - onlineMarquis , posted 11/29/05

uga booga uga booga...
this just cant be beaten for
size - it has to be one of the smallest bars in la, but thats great
other drinkers - always ready to strike up a conversation, very friendly
drinks - they may be heavy on the rum and a little sweet and fruity but they pack a mighty punch. Beware no driving after 2 or even 1 drinks, best call a cab
decor - check out the puffer fish lamps, the cigar smoking turtle and don't forget 'rehab is for quitters!'
names on boards - drink at least twice a week for around 2 years and you may get the chance to have your name inscribed for posterity
tip: order either a blood and sand or uga booga
the houes favourite and the easiest to drink is ray's mistake

"Never Say Die"
Oh man, do they fix you up good at this place. I had two NEVER SAY DIEs at this place and now every other mixed drink on the planet pales in comparison. A great place to go after a movie at the Vista up the road. - Sherrie , posted 06/17/05

Everyone yells "Toro!!!!" when the bartender adds this special bull-headed alcohol to the drinks. Very fun! - Catherine , posted 10/29/04

Historic Tiki Bar
Playing 'tour guide' for out-of-town guests? Tiki Ti is the perfect place to go and soak in a bit of local history and flavor. The decor is classic Tiki, every inch of this tiny black-lit space is covered in thematic memorabilia and tchotchkes. Go for the decor alone. As for libations, the menu boasts approximately 80 choices. With names like "Vicious Virgin," "Uga Booga," and "Strip & Go Naked" you know you're in for something different! LIGHTWEIGHTS BEWARE - the drinks pack a whallop! Book your designated driver in advance. The bar owners are a bit eccentric. Open Wed-Saturday only, and sometimes they close 3-4 weeks every 3 months so they can go visit the islands. Best bet is to visit the website and look at the Calendar, or call in advance. Cash only, first-come-first-serve basis (no reservations). - Mary Ellen , posted 08/30/04
