Shuffle on over and he'll lick your Depends...from the inside out! His specialty is offering complaints without solutions. So throw away those sleeping pills and read a few of his threads. You'll be glad you zzzzzzzzzzzz... - Übersatan XXIII T... , posted 01/26/09 |

I prefer to see tribe as its people, so I rate it as high as I can for the calibre of most of the folks I find here. It's the absolute best network of it's kind for that alone. As for its technical aches and pains, I can't be as generous so I'd probably not participate in rating that. And that's only because I see an effort being made to repair it by an overworked staff. - Watchdog , posted 11/05/08 |

technically tribe is slow. it is broken a lot of the time also. this makes it difficult to use. this means i dont use it very often. you just can't screw around with a social networking tool too much because people stop using it- we have one million choices. Brett- have you checked out psyport? - oCeLoT , posted 11/05/08 |

I love Tribe.net. I have been online since 1989 and I have NEVER found as much of an inspired and heartfelt community as the people I know on here. They have been going through some rough patches and they're not very good at PR when stuff hits the fan... but I will continue to love my friends on here and support Tribe.net .. because a community like this is nearly impossible to replicate! As far as ads being shown on Tribe, they are served by Google! Google can tell where you are located by your IP address and it displays whatever content people happen to be paying for at the moment. It is somtimes possible for a publisher (like Tribe) to block a certian offensive advertiser, but if they advertiser is smart and publishes it under multiple names or domains - it is nearly impossible to suppress quickly! Remember the LOVE and give Tribe a chance!@ - BrettFromTibet , posted 11/05/08 |

I think it would be wise if tribe adressed this volitile issue with an explaination and apology. Look, man, we can understand your hardware breaking down and shit, but THIS, this is going to be a hard one to back out of. Tell us wtf happend! - SENSEI , posted 11/05/08 |

The yes on 8 adds that were plastered all over every page yesterday were misleading and unsettling for those who believe in equal civic rights for all men and women. Obama did not agree with prop 8, as the adds lead you to believe. Yes according to his personal and religious beliefs, he does think that marriage should be between a man and a woman. However, he was against the proposition because he felt it impaired other peoples rights and beliefs. .... It's called Seperation of Church and State.... If you have a problem with gay marriage because of your religious beliefs, than you can fight to keep it out of your church. But civic rights are not determined by religious beliefs. This is America, where you are free to disagree with gay marriage, and others are free to partake in it. Example: How would you feel if the government banned the act of eating pork or the right of a women to show her hair in public because of someone else's religion. These are religious beliefs that we respect but do not impose on others. For those of us who believe in a persons right to love and to protect that love from discrimination, these banners and adds were hurtful and angering. We should be able to log into our social networks with out being bombarded by misleading and unfair attacks against our freedoms. Thank you for listening. - Lulu Hoop *aka* L... , posted 11/05/08 |

okay, the ads are gone now. and if your fragile belief system is so easily threatened by merely witnessing the opposing point of view, perhaps the internet isn't for you... - atom , posted 11/05/08 |

WTF? I can't even log onto tribe anymore (intentionally, not on account of technical issues) because I can't look at this shit. I can't stand being bombarded with all these horrible hate ads supporting that sanctimonious bullshit. I can't believe banners supporting prop 8 could make their way into this site. I've lost whatever small respect I may have had remaining for Tribe. As a side note, I'm even more disappointed with Google for taking the cash for those ads. They officially came out against the prop but they're making money off the supporters. - jds , posted 11/04/08 |

So what? The functionality is still there. The layout is a little different and yes we need to click a little more. But personally, I think it's fine although I did like it better the old way. - Jesse Wright , posted 01/27/06 |
