A 6 piece powerhouse that packs old-school classic rock anthems with fresh hip hop rhymes, topped with twisted and sick loops into one furious, fist-in-your-face power package. Their energetic songs are carried on solid beats, delivered by one of L.A's tightest rhythm sections. These powerful, guitarladen hooks will leave you craving more. URBAN ASSAULT originally started as a side project from various members of other bands ("Hydrophonix", "Weedeater", "Dim Tribe" and the European "CanItrashcan!?") but it soon developed it's own dynamic and grew into this unstoppable urban-rock freight train. With a draw of more than a 150 people to their first show at the Whisky in Hollywood, URBAN ASSAULT is pumped up and ready to roll out nationwide. The musical influences of each individual band member couldn't be more diverse: Reaching from the Drummer Angelo's favorite heavy metal records, via the Guitarist Marko's obscure noise/punk affinity for bands such as "Bad Brains", "Fugazi" and "The Melvins", all the way to the jazzy, soul-rap influence of their Brasilian originated MC J. Theory, and then grounded by the west coast power vocal from JKS. Along with sick mash up cuts and beats from the very talented DJ Shiro. This widespread background clearly results in an electric, fresh and powerful mix. A hybrid style that hasn't been unheard, but that has rarely sounded so convincing and energetic.
