super stoner employees
I have to agree with Cabana Boy. What's up with them indeed? I've vowed never to order a pie from them again after a similar wait (followed by the wrong pie) on more than one occasion. The only thing I occasionally get is a slice: don't modify it, don't even heat it up. I give them no room for error. I much prefer Johnnie's NY Pizza (Abbot Kinney & Washington). - matthew , posted 12/24/06

your kidding right
sorry gang but I tried it twice and the first time the slices were old and cold....and whats with all the crap on the crust! The second time we ordered a pie for delivery, two hours later still no pizza...whats up with that!
IF YOU WANT A GREAT PIE GO TO BRAVO ON MAIN!!!! - Cabana Boy , posted 12/23/06

try the salad pizza
the salad pizza is the best -- full of yummy avocados and other salad goodness. the other varieties are really good, too, especially any of the ones with lots of garlic.

i just wish they'd start making the salad pizza at their santa monica location. - WiSH , posted 10/30/06

awesome!
I'm giving it 5 stars because I know Irene was just a bit hi or something and meant to give it five stars. It's ok, we forgive you Irenie. ;-) But yeah, best pizza, ditto what everyone else says! - Jesse , posted 10/30/06

the only reason i'm not giving this 5 stars
is cuz nobody nowhere will ever beat pizza from home (new york) and if the pizza can't pass the morning after test (my playa crusted sandals are preferable to cold abbott's pizza), it's not real pizza.

that being said, abbott's does well for fans of thin crust and wierd california toppings. at $3 a slice it ain't cheap so that I will fork it over once in a while means something. - Irenie , posted 10/30/06

Half of the owners and 99% of the staff are very, very cool.
I used to make brownies and lemon bars for them. Tommy, the founder and younger brother, is very cool His big brother and day to day manager is notsomuch.

I sat out front once with Tommy and it was amazing how many people jumped out of very, very, expensive cars to run in for pizza. Well, not too amazing. They really had the best pizza. - , posted 10/09/06

Used to love those guys when I was living around the corner! I'll be in LA in March and surely will have a slice!

Meditate on a slice of Popeye's Pizza
Take a bite of their Popeye's Chicken Pizza (i throw some jalapenos on top), close your eyes, chew, breathe, now open your eyes. Now you know, and now you'll even wanna try the one with goat cheese. The abbot rules monks and rules the L.A. pizza debate if there ever was one. $4 will transcend you, young famished bodhisattva. - Danny , posted 01/07/06

pizza-gasm
it was an absolutely delicious pizza-gasm ;) had the bianca, popeye's chicken, and my favorite, wild mushroom. love that schizo thin/crisp and thick/chewy bagel crust.

This is the BEST pizza I've ever had!
Who said New York pizza is the best in the world? After tasting Abbot's Pizza, you'll most likely agree New York Pizza doesn't even stand a chance. Located in the heart of Abbot Kinney Blvd., you're surrounded by eclectic people and shops. You won't be disappointed! - Glenn , posted 02/16/05

Better than most of the pizza in NYC too
Yumm. Thin bagel crust pizza by the slice or the pie. Amazing toppings. This is a place to take a New Yorker when you want to brag. Personal favorites: Cheese Bomb or Wild Mushroom. - Sean , posted 10/29/04

so yummilicious. . .
This place is great. I am friends with the owners brother (so maybe I'm biased?!). They have crust that is bagel style - you can get sesame or poppy seed, onion/bialy style, and more! This pizza company couldn't be more unique, they also offer pesto sauce and other "different" items to put on your pizza for something other than original. BTW- they have multiple locations, check the yellow pages.. . - Unsubscribed , posted 08/27/04
