Mmm, private hot springs
You can't beat a room with a private open air patio with piped-in hot spring mineral jacuzzi goodness.
Highly recommended as a weekend getaway, just be sure to make reservations well in advance. - Miles , posted 06/25/06

Sycamore Springs in SLO
hello dahling,
I would recommend, if you haven't done it already, a liesurely drive up the 101 north. The 101 is chok full of bed & breakfasts, groovy places and hideaway spots like The Madonna Inn. Gayle and I did it a few years ago. I would recommend as a destination or a stop over, the Sycamore Springs hot springs near SLO. The natural springs tubs are private and I think they are open late(like midnight). We actually had some dear comedown from the woods and watch us soak.

there are plenty of places to stop and buy dried fruit, fresh veggies and nuts.

There are some vegetarian places along the way, not sure where off hand.

Take some camping gear and a stove, thats what we do ;-)
You can camp along the way

if you call for reservations get the "Shangri-La" tub" - aLi , posted 05/13/06
