Burning out of my mind

It's Time for Magic

This Burning Man has just marked one year since I came to LA. An absolutely magical year! During this year I became closely involved in the Burner communities here and in So Cal and this amazing opportunity has no doubt changed my life. I've met all of you amazing people and incredibly creative artists who keep inspiring all of us with incredible art, ideas and events. It is my wish for the next year to be more intensively involved in these creative efforts. Hopefully this year starts with first steps in this direction with the first TerraKroma party, done together with an amazing group of artists, and now with posting my video art online. These are abstract visuals that I've made for Arroyo Seco Project's music. I'd be delighted to get your feedback on these and would love to hear if you have ideas for music that needs visuals or any other art project that's looking for collaborators. Much love to you all,

Yair

I dig the space dub and sea of lights the most.

Keep it up!

I wonder if any of these could be used for Winamp visualizations. Not to insult you or anything but your stuff is very good with the music that you are trying to match it with and so I just thought of how your stuff resembles a better matched visualization on XMMS or Winamp.

music visualization
I'm not sure what you mean exactly, are you asking if it is possible to plug in these visualizations into applications like Winamp ? If you mean in an automatic manner then the answer would be no. But I did try to mix my visuals (without the sound) with standard animated visualizations applied to some electronic music entirely different from the one I originally made the clips for - that worked out just great, so maybe you can try to do that. I'm not sure though how you upload the clips into these specific applications and if they allow you to do such mixing but it is certainly possible using professional VJ equipment.

In fact that's how this project started. I basically made much of the videos with no intension to use them for music. Later on I heard the music by my friend Aaron an thought this would make a good combination. I like the result, even if sometimes the music may take some of the attention from the visuals I think it makes it more accessible for people. Abstract video art is often hard for people to swallow yet a lot of people tend to enjoy abstract visualization for music. I'd love to develop this further and do more visuals for electronic music, however I'm also interested in all forms of art and I hope to pursue different mediums and styles in the future.
